USS Midway – San Diego

Who said you can’t have fun and learn a little something at the same time? The USS Midway is an Aircraft Museum in San Diego. Climb aboard and check out some historical aircraft that have been restored.

By getting on this 4-acre flight deck, you receive a panoramic view of San Diego Bay you will never be able to get anywhere else. Choose from a guided audio tour or go at your own pace. Either way, you are all guaranteed a great time.

Pacific Marine Mammal Center – Laguna Canyon

Love animals? Get up-close-and-personal like never before at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Come by anytime between 10 AM and 4 PM to watch workers rescue injured sea lions from the shore. At the same time, the crew also releases the rehabilitated mammals back into the wild. This fun activity is a win-win for the animals…and your family.

Universal Studio – Los Angeles

Would it really be a trip to La La Land without swinging by Universal? Tour the lot of the still-functioning movie studio, or hop on some of the most popular rides in all of America. Or….do both!

You can easily spend the whole day and then some with the kids. Also, the adults will channel their inner child as well. How could you not?

Oasis Camel Dairy Farm – Ramona

While California is known for its beaches and amusement parks, it’s also known for Oasis Camel Dairy Farm! Public tours are once a month on weekends at 1 PM. However, you can also schedule a private tour of the land.

At Oasis Camel Dairy Farm, you can pet and snap pics with the camels. There’s also a unique shop that has a bunch of products made from camel dairy. You will learn a lot here (and make a few friends along the way).

Orange Empire Railway Museum – Perris

Take in a bunch of salvaged railways and trolleys from junkyards in this one-of-a-kind museum. There are plenty of grounds to cover here. Feel free to take your time and mosey around on a self-guided tour.

On grounds, there are over 30 different locomotives to bask in. This includes an inspiration for Who Framed Roger Rabbit and a famous locomotive purchased by former Disney animator, Ward Kimball. There’s a lot of history and unique things to see at the Orange Empire Railway Museum.
